Full disclosure, I hate buffets. People's germy hands reaching into serve themselves food, children sneezing and runnin amuck, sad veggies swimming in a mixture of oil and water... it's not my thing. With that said, I usually make an exception when my friend is in town and he says "I want Golden Corral." Our service was great. The food was pretty good. I had some steak and coconut shrimp that were very good. I also love GC's banana pudding. love.

OK - 5 stars in the sense that compared to other buffets this place is legit. Compared to other restuarants this place is a buffet restuarant, aka avoid at all costs. BUT, for a buffet this place was A-MAY-ZING. The place was cleaner than I expected, well lit and nicely decorated (for a buffet shop, in OK). The food choices were quite extensive and with the turn-over (this place was packed) everything seemed fresh. (or freshish). Salads, breads, desserts, meats (grilled, fried, wok'd, etc), pastas, ethnic choices, etc. MAKE-YOUR-OWN-MAC-N-CHEESE bar !!!!!!! Need I say more? On the bright side- the corn pudding, pot roast, sweet potatoes, turkey in gravy were TO DIE FOR. It was quick and convenient and super cheap at $8.50 a person. We had an unexpectedly great meal and enjoyed it. Not a bad call in hindsight. Try it, it was rather good.

Is it possible to give negative stars? Nothing here is worth the trip. It is a place for gluttony without regard to taste. Everything is overcooked. I saw a recipe on the wall for pot roast. It said to cook at 300 for 12 hours. "No wonder their food is overcooked" I thought to myself. A whole Brisket is done at 225 in 12 hour. A pot roast would be toast at 300 in 12 hours. The rest of the food was equally bad. No love here for low quality buffet. Avoid unless your taste buds were shot off during the war.

You know, I was pleasantly surprised at how great this Golden Corral was! The fried chicken was awesome, as was the pot roast, the ham, and lest I forget, the ribs were great too! The service was good. The cleanliness factor was on the spot. I only gave them 3 stars because of the type of restaurant. As far as Golden Corral' go, they deserve 5 stars. Right On Golden Corral!

My experience at Golden Corrals has been less then impressive. That being said I thought the food was great, very fresh and well stocked as well as many choices and a big variety. Service was nice above average for this type of restaurant.

We are traveling from Utah to Pennsylvania and decided we wanted something other than fast food for dinner but wanted something fast. Well this was perfect...until we got there. 30.00 for two people kinda pricy for what you get. We took out seats waited a few min no waitress so we proceed to get our food. While we were getting our food she came over and scribbled her name on the receipt. We got some salad and sat down the waitress never came back. The salad was good it had a lot of toppings to choose from. After the salad we went to get the main course, I waited for the person cooking the steak to come back for about five minutes he never came over and I didn't want the burnt one. All in all I would say if you want a quick meal this is the place but if you want a good meal and good service this is not.

First time in Oklahoma City and our pick for dinner is Golden Corral. Good spread of food. Dessert was sloppy. We came quite early for dinner but it looks like the dessert station was running out of food. Otherwise, good place if u dont mind the noise.

I was in the area for a business trip. We booked the private party room for a little meeting we had. 5 stars for service. 1 star for the bad smell in the party room. I seriously don't know what happened in there, but it smelled like fart! And it wasn't a temporary thing. I'd walk out of the room to get food and the smell would hit me like a bag of bricks everytime. WTF happened in that room, guys?? 2 stars for food. All I gotta say is: they sure know how to ruin perfectly good chicken breast. Their chicken was way too salty! I couldn't even eat more than 3 bites. I was spazzin' out. Bad chicken killed my appetite and left me too afraid to try anything else. I just had 2 scoops of mashed potatoes with gravy to fill myself up. Waste of $10. That's all I gotta say.

Another day in Oklahoma, another buffet! Boy do Oklahomans know how to eat! For around 10 bucks a person, you can stuff yourself silly with lots of different kinds of meats, sides, etc. They have a decent looking salad bar, but you don't go to a place like this for the salad. You can actually order a steak and tell them how you want it! tip: if you like it medium, tell them medium rare. My medium steak was almost well done. The ribs are good and so are the mashed potatoes. One of the best parts was the bread!! :) Avoid the pizza (cheese is hard and funky looking!) and the desserts can be too sweet sometimes but still worth trying. Life is always better with dessert! :) Service can be hit or miss sometimes. The first time we went our server was spot on, our drinks never got below half full. The second time, our server was M.I.A and our plates were never bussed away. :( Overall, another good place to gorge yourself silly and not hurt the wallet.

While I do not have a preference for buffets, I seem to have ended up at a lot of them. My boyfriend's mom has that "little old lady" love of buffets, so we've been ending up at a lot of them for her birthday and mother's day. So, we happen to go here today on Mother's Day. The crowd was large, but the staff was great about it. Kept the tables clean, unlike the last Golden Corral we went to (also for Mom's Day). On the plus side, the salad bar was well-tended, the meat was acceptably tasty, and vegetables weren't cooked to mush the way they are at many buffets. On the down side, the soups were growing a skin because they weren't lidded, and the dessert bar was full of glop. Not in a "clean this up" way, but the dessert spread just was full of whipped topping, icing goo, melted chocolate, custard. You know, nothing light or crisp. All in all, 3 stars. "A-OK". Don't expect your mind blown, and unless you just wanna seriously PIG OUT, you can definitely spend your money better in the city. $42 for a buffet for three... really made me wince a bit. But eh, it's what the old lady wanted. In retrospect, we'll have to make a reservation somewhere next year. Beats wading through the crowds.
